IPTA Raigarh: 'Nithalle Ki Diary' speaks of the fallacy today 'Nithalle Ki Diary' speaks of the fallacy today ====================================================NuLLeD by x-MoBiLe T.E.A.M================= ==== IPTA Raigarh on 12 January, 2012 10:06:00 The second day of the 18th National Theatre Festival 2012 witnessed Vivechana Rangmandal's evergreen play, Nithalle ki diary. This play has had 550 shows in the past. It is directed by Arun Pandey. 'Kaka' is the old man, who sits by his house and talks to everyone in the village. Through him we get to meet the other main character, Nithalla. Through the conversations between Kaka and Nithalla, we are taken for the ride of one of the finest criticism of the fallacy present in this country. This is done through different characters, situations and songs. Kaka has the experience of a mammoth, and he does not leave any stone unturned to share it with anyone. This leads to an enriching metaphorical play with the country's major issues. He talks about the commerce and corruption, the doctor and patient relations (through which he also talks about the protector and the protected, and their relations), the movement to save the holy cow and the hypocricy surrounding it and lastly the sharpest take on ramayana and Tulsidas. The play, written by Harishankar Parsai, reflects a typical style followed by Parsai which deals with allegorical but simple caricatures of the problems being dealt with. And this play does exactly that. It presents these age old problems in a fresh perspective and takes us all on a journey to the rules and regulations of the system called India. The director of this play, Arun Pandey, has also been conferred with the Sharadchandra Vairagkar Rangkarmi Samman 2012. He has played a pivotal role in reformation and resurrection of IPTA, Raigarh.
