Department of Theatre, University of Khairagarh staged a comedy directed by Alopi Verma. which was very well delivered by impresssive performances by the two main leads.

The style of the play was on the urban side and reflected a fixed design. The plot revolves around a love story of Mumtaz and Nawab Alamshah, the former is trapped to marry an elder man, Babban, whom she does not love. Babban has trapped her in her own house and keeps track of her. But her lover, disguises himself as Shameem and tries contacting her in his disguised avatar. The whole play portrays his attempts to get her and finally he proposes to her and comes out of his disguise, and marries her.

The play uses a classic technique of talking to the audience and saying one's thoughts to audience in an efficient way. Although, the play was performed by students, it can be rated as a good play considering the limitations.

Play "Baaki Itihas" will be staged on 9th January.
